Basically, there is no way to have dinner at Lake Towada except at the hotel.
Lake Towada is in a very secluded area, providing a peaceful lakeside retreat. The few available dining options on the lake’s southern side mostly cater to lunch, with all closing by 5 PM. Shops also close early, around 8 PM. Given the nearest convenience store is 25 km away. We strongly recommend booking accommodations with dinner included to avoid any inconvenience during your stay.

Be carefult that this restaurant close 7:00 PM.
Kaede is a traditional eatery near Lake Towada, offering local dishes like Towada Bara-yaki and Himemasu (landlocked salmon). Situated in a nostalgic area, the restaurant has a lively atmosphere, thanks to its friendly staff. The Towada Bara-yaki is a DIY meal where diners cook the marinated beef and vegetables themselves, resulting in a flavorful, tender dish that’s worth the wait. The Himemasu dishes, including the salt-grilled version, provide a unique taste of freshwater fish. While some find the prices high, the generous portions, quality food, and warm service make Kaede a worthwhile stop for visitors seeking a genuine taste of local cuisine.
